Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
You will also find that help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who asks for it.
There so many annoying characters in this book! Dobby comes the first (oh please, he’s not that adorable at this point). His inappropriate warning and uncontrollable behavior made me roll my eyes for more than once. Then, the photography boy-Colin. He is such a stalker, a typical fanboy and a born paparazzi. (Do paparazzi know that their cameras can somehow save their lives lol) Finally, the worst of all, professor Lockhart. I was irritated by him for tons of times. How can a grown-up be so stupid, arrogant, and … (sign) somebody go and find him his brain please.
However, it’s a Harry Potter book so you have to give it five stars (at least they allure so many kids into reading) even so, to be honest, I like the first one a lot more. The Chamber of Secrets is just so slow-paced at the first two third of the book. And there are many things I couldn’t understand. For example, how come no one can hear the haunting sounds Harry heard from the wall but can hear him speaking Parseltongue in the duelling club? And how can Fred and George appear so little!! lol, I love the Wesley family so much.
And yet, I still can’t deny that the ending is so perfect and touching. Totally overturn the whole thing.
p. 104 ‘You better hope Creevey doesn’t meet Ginny, they’ll be starting a Harry Potter fan club.
p. 173 ‘Oh, come on,’ said Ron, wrenching it from her grasp and thrusting it at Madam Pince. “We’ll get you another autograph Lockhart’ll sign anything if it stands still long enough.’
p. 352 ‘It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.’
